THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERS OF TOURISM BUSINESS IN LUANG PRABANG PROVINCE LAO PDR

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Study the context of the tourism business operation environment in the World Heritage City Luang Prabang Province Lao PDR 2) Study needs Developing the leadership potential of tourism business personnel in the World Heritage City Luang Prabang Province Lao PDR 3) Study guidelines for operating a tourism busines in the World Heritage City Luang Prabang Province Lao PDR From document research with collecting data through interviews and questionnaires. The interview data were analyzed using an inductive method and statistical tools for questionnaires data for frequency, percentage, mean, standard Deviation, Person Correlation (r) ,Independent Sample T-test, One-way ANOVA F-test with significance level values as 0.05

The results found that context for operating tourism businesses environment is to survive under changing environmental conditions with managing a business, recovery sustainable business adaption, accessible social support, Infrastructure facilities available and compliance with local and international standards is necessary. In term of the need for developing the leadership potential of tourism business personnel was found that different personal factors did not differ the need of potential development in transformational leadership and all aspect of the need of potential development in transformational leadership has positive correction in tourism business resources mananagement in the part of enhance the roles in service duties.

Potential development in transformational leadership contributes to tourism business operations through economic and tourism transform mechanisms, decrease employee turnover and customer complementation. Lastly, it is engaging collaboration in internal and external of the local organizations.

การศึกษานี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาบริบทสภาพแวดล้อมการประกอบธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวในเมืองมรดกโลก จังหวัดหลวงพระบาง สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว 2) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการการพัฒนาศักยภาพความเป็นผู้นำของบุคลากรธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวในเมืองมรดกโลก จังหวัดหลวงพระบาง สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว 3) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการประกอบธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวในเมืองมรดกโลก จังหวัดหลวงพระบาง สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว โดยศึกษาจากการวิจัยเอกสาร และเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลแบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสอบถาม ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบสัมภาษณ์แบบอุปนัย และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถาม โดยใช้วิธีการทางสถิติ ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ Person Correlation (r) การเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างสถิติ T-test (Independent Sample, T-test) และการเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างสถิติ One-way ANOVA (One-way ANOVA, F-test) พิจารณาจากค่าระดับนัยสําคัญ 0.05

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า บริบทสภาพแวดล้อมการประกอบธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวคือ การจัดการธุรกิจให้ดำรงอยู่ภายใต้ภาวะสภาพแวดล้อมเปลี่ยนแปลง การปรับตัวเพื่อการฟื้นฟูธุรกิจอย่างยั่งยืน การสนับสนุนทางสังคม มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกด้านโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน การปฏิบัติตามมาตรฐานท้องถิ่นและสากลที่จำเป็น ในส่วนของความต้องการการพัฒนาศักยภาพความเป็นผู้นำของบุคลากรธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยว พบว่าปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่แตกต่างกันไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน ด้านความต้องการพัฒนาศักยภาพภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลง ด้านความสัมพันธ์การจัดการทรัพยากรธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวพบว่าการให้บทบาทงานบริการมีความสัมพันธ์กับความต้องการพัฒนาภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงในทุกด้าน และการพัฒนาภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงมีส่วนช่วยแนวทางการประกอบธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวผ่านกลไกการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเศรษฐกิจ และการท่องเที่ยว การหมุนเวียนพนักงาน การเติมเต็มของลูกค้า และการร่วมมือระหว่างองค์กรภายในและองค์กรภายนอก
