THE GUIDELINES FOR POTENTIAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN SOP FAEK VILLAGE, SANSAI, CHIANG MAI

Abstract

The objectives of this qualitative study were to: 1) make a survey on geosocial context of Baan Sopfaek community, Maefaek Mai sub – district Sansai district, Chieng Mai province; 2) assess potential of tourist spots in Baan Sopfaek community; and 3) propose guidelines for developing potential of the tourist spots in Baan Sopfaek community secondary data were collected through field survey, in-depth interview and community leader and local people inquiry. Obtained data were analyzed and systematically arranged. Besides, an assessment four was used for an assessment of levels of potential of the tourist spots.

Results of the study revealed that there were three tourist spots in Baan Sopfaek community: 1) Sopfaek temple (more than 150 years old) having cultural distinguishment; 2) boat landing called “Tha Cha Hak Sop Faek” which was naturally beautiful; and 3) Mae Ping river which was beautiful, clear and shallow. Regarding an assessment of potential of tourist spots in the community, it was found at a moderate level score of 54.4 which could be developed but it must have correct development guidelines together with community participation. The following were guidelines for the development of potential of the tourist spots in the community based on 5 factors: 1) attraction, 2) amenities, 3) accessibility, 4) diverse activities, and 5) accommodation. These factors can create a perfect tourism model and it can make tourists be able to make a decision to choose tourist altractions based on their interest.

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่องแนวทางการพัฒนาศักยภาพแหล่งท่องเที่ยวชุมชนบ้านสบแฝก ตำบลแม่แฝกใหม่ อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) สำรวจบริบทภูมิสังคมในชุมชนบ้านสบแฝก ตำบลแม่แฝกใหม่ อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ 2) ประเมินศักยภาพแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชนบ้านสบแฝก ตำบลแม่แฝกใหม่ อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ 3) เสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชนบ้านสบแฝก ตำบลแม่แฝกใหม่ อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่

การศึกษาใช้วิธีการรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารทุติยภูมิ สำรวจพื้นที่ชุมชนและแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชน สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก และสอบถามกลุ่มผู้นำชุมชนและประชาชนที่อยู่ในพื้นที่ แล้วนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์และเรียบเรียงให้เป็นระบบ ใช้แบบประเมินเพื่อประเมินระดับศักยภาพของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า แหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชนมีทั้งหมด 3 แหล่ง คือ 1) วัดสบแฝก วัดเก่าแก่ที่มีอายุกว่า 150 ปี เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีความโดดเด่นทางวัฒนธรรม 2) ท่าน้ำ (ติดกับแม่น้ำปิง) ชื่อว่า “ท่าจะฮักสบแฝก” เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติ ที่มีสภาพภูมิทัศน์สวยงาม 3) แม่น้ำปิง เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวธรรมชาติ สภาพภูมิทัศน์สวยงาม มีคุณค่าทางธรรมชาติ น้ำใสสะอาด ไม่ลึก จากผลการประเมินศักยภาพแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชน พบว่าศักยภาพแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชนบ้านสบแฝกได้ 54.4 คะแนน อยู่ในระดับมาตรฐานปานกลาง ซึ่งสามารถพัฒนาเป็นหมู่บ้านท่องเที่ยวได้ แต่ต้องมีแนวทางการพัฒนาอย่างถูกต้องและชุมชนต้องมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชน ดังนั้นแนวทางการพัฒนาศักยภาพแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในชุมชนควรเป็นไปตาม 5 ปัจจัย ได้แก่ 1) ปัจจัยด้านความดึงดูดของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว (Attraction) 2) ปัจจัยด้านสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก (Amenities) 3) ปัจจัยด้านเข้าถึงแหล่งท่องเที่ยว (Accessibility) 4) ปัจจัยด้านความหลากหลายของกิจกรรม (Activities) 5) ปัจจัยด้านที่พัก (Accommodation) โดยปัจจัยเหล่านี้จะก่อให้เกิดรูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวที่สมบูรณ์ขึ้น และเป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามมารถตัดสินใจเลือกแหล่งท่องเที่ยวได้ตามความสนใจของตัวเอง
