ATTITUDE, PERCEPTION, AND AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND GENDER EQUALITY OF LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN THAILAND

Abstract

This research objective to study the level of opinions in attitudes, recognition, awareness of the human rights, gender equality rights of LGBT people in the Gender Equality Claim and the Marriage Act. The study has applied social theory Psychology and economics in the behavioral explanation of LGBTI people as well as using statistical methods to study various statistics, and using economic models that represent important characteristics of the target audience. This research focuses mainly on survey research, which survey By using the online questionnaire to ask questions from LGBTQ people in Thailand. There are 516 audiences surveying and were analyzed there attitudes, recognition and awareness of the importance of human rights and gender equality claims, including the factors affecting support for the Civil Partnership Bill people in Thailand. The results showed that LGBTQ people’s opinions on attitudes, perceptions and awareness of human rights and gender equality rights were at the highest level. There is average between 4.50 - 5.00. They thought that LGBT should be empowered with the highest male and female gender equality at an average of 4.656. The part of the awareness of human rights and the demand for gender equality, respondents agreed that health and life insurance should cover all genders as much as possible, there was 4.674. The perception of benefits or welfare from the Civil Partnership Bill, was found that a mean score of 7.467. The perception of gender equality rights.The factors affecting support and content with the Civil Partnership Bill at a low lever. This study will inform the attitude, recognition, awareness of unequal human rights in various areas in Thailand and the demand for gender equality in various issue. In addition they lead to the development of legislation or adjust the draft of the Civil Partnership Bill to accepted among the LGBTQ people.

การวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความคิดเห็นด้านทัศนคติ การรับรู้และการตระหนักถึงสิทธิมนุษยชนและการเรียกร้องสิทธิความเท่าเทียมทางเพศของกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศต่อการเรียกร้องสิทธิความเท่าเทียมทางเพศและร่างพรบ.คู่ชีวิต โดยได้ประยุกต์ใช้ทฤษฎีทางด้านสังคม จิตวิทยาและเศรษฐศาสตร์ในการอธิบายเชิงพฤติกรรมของกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ ตลอดจนใช้วิธีการทางสถิติเพื่อศึกษาหาค่าสถิติต่าง ๆ รวมถึงแบบจำลองทางเศรษฐมิติ งานวิจัยครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจเป็นหลัก ได้ทำการสำรวจแบบออนไลน์ โดยการใช้แบบสอบถามในการสอบถามข้อมูลจากกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศในประเทศไทย จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 516 คน เพื่อนำผลมาวิเคราะห์ถึงทัศนคติ การรับรู้และการตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสิทธิมนุษยชนและการเรียกร้องสิทธิความเท่าเทียมทางเพศรวมถึงปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการสนับสนุนร่างพระราชบัญญัติ คู่ชีวิตของกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศในประเทศไทย ผลการวิจัยพบว่ากลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศมีความคิดเห็นในด้านทัศนคติ การรับรู้ และการตระหนักถึงสิทธิมนุษยชนและการเรียกร้องสิทธิความเท่าเทียมทางเพศนั้นอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ระหว่าง 4.50 - 5.00 โดยผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเห็นว่าทัศนคติ เพศทางเลือกควรได้รับอำนาจเท่าเทียมกับเพศชายและเพศหญิงมากที่สุดที่ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.656 ในส่วนของการตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสิทธิมนุษยชนและการเรียกร้องความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเห็นว่าการตระหนักต่อการประกันสุขภาพและการประกันชีวิตควรจะครอบคลุมทุกเพศมากที่สุด โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.674 ส่วนการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับสิทธิประโยชน์หรือสวัสดิการจากร่าง พ.ร.บ. คู่ชีวิต พบว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 7.467 มีการรับรู้ต่อสิทธิความเท่าเทียมทางเพศอยู่ในระดับปานกลางและด้านปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการสนับสนุนร่างพระราชบัญญัติคู่ชีวิต ความพึงพอใจในร่างพรบคู่ชีวิต อยู่ในระดับน้อย การศึกษาในครั้งนี้ทำให้ทราบถึงพฤติกรรมของกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ ทั้งด้านทัศนคติ การรับรู้และการตระหนักต่อสิทธิมนุษยชนด้านต่าง ๆ รวมถึงความพึงพอใจที่ส่งผลต่อการสนับสนุนร่างพระราชบัญญัติคู่ชีวิตที่ยังไม่เท่าเทียมกันในประเทศไทยและการเรียกร้องความเท่าเทียมทางเพศด้านประเด็นต่าง ๆ อันจะนำไปเป็นแนวทางและพัฒนาบทกฎหมายหรือปรับปรุงร่างพระราชบัญญัติคู่ชีวิตนี้ให้เป็นที่ยอมรับกันในกลุ่มคนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ
